With the support of 70% of its citizens, ARIZONA has ordered sheriffs and police to secure the border and remove illegal aliens, half a million of whom now reside there. [Another story on the same issue]

Arizona acted because the U.S. government has abdicated its constitutional duty to protect the states from invasion and refuses to enforce America’s immigration laws.

“We in Arizona have been more than patient waiting for Washington to act,” said Gov. Jan Brewer. “But decades of inaction and misguided policy have created an unacceptable situation.”

We have a crisis in Arizona because we have a failed state in Washington [DC].

What is the response of Barack Obama, who took an oath to see to it that federal laws are faithfully executed?

He is siding with the law-breakers. He is pandering to the ethnic lobbies. He is not berating a Mexican regime that aids and abets this invasion of the country of which he is commander in chief. Instead, he attacks the government of Arizona for trying to fill a gaping hole in law enforcement left by his own dereliction of duty.

He has denounced Arizona as “misguided.” He has called on the Justice Department to ensure that Arizona’s sheriffs and police do not violate anyone’s civil rights. But he has said nothing about the rights of the people of Arizona who must deal with the costs of having hundreds of thousands of lawbreakers in their midst.

How’s that for Andrew Jackson-style leadership?

Obama has done everything but his duty to enforce the law.

Undeniably, making it a state as well as a federal crime to be in this country illegally, and requiring police to check the immigration status of anyone they have a “reasonable suspicion” is here illegally, is tough and burdensome. But what choice did Arizona have?

The state has a fiscal crisis caused in part by the burden of providing schooling and social welfare for illegals and their families, who consume far more in services than they pay in taxes and who continue to pour in. Even John McCain is now calling for 3,000 troops on the border.

Police officers and a prominent rancher have been murdered. There have been kidnappings believed to be tied to the Mexican drug cartels. There are nightly high-speed chases through the barrios where innocent people are constantly at risk.

If Arizona does not get control of the border and stop the invasion, U.S. citizens will stop coming to Arizona and will begin to depart, as they are already fleeing California.

What we are talking about here is the Balkanization and breakup of a nation into ethnic enclaves. A country that cannot control its borders isn’t really a country anymore, Ronald Reagan reminded us.

The tasks that Arizonans are themselves undertaking are ones that belong by right, the Constitution and federal law to the Border Patrol, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Homeland Security.

Arizona has been compelled to assume the feds’ role because the feds won’t do their job. And for that dereliction of duty the buck stops on the desk of the president of the United States.

Why is Obama paralyzed? Why does he not enforce the law, even if he dislikes it, by punishing the businessmen who hire illegals and by sending the 12 million to 20 million illegals back home? President Eisenhower did it. Why won’t he?  >To Full Article

German military and civilian losses during and especially after World War II are still shrouded by a veil of silence, at least in the mass media, even though an impressive body of scholarly literature exists on that topic. The reasons for this silence, due in large part to academic negligence, are deep[ly] rooted and deserve further scholarly inquiry.

Why, for instance, are German civilian losses, and particularly the staggering number of postwar losses among ethnic Germans, dealt with so sketchily, if at all, in school history courses? The mass media — television, newspapers, film and magazines — rarely, if ever, look at the fate of the millions of German civilians in central and eastern Europe during and following World War II. [1]

The treatment of civilian ethnic Germans — or Volksdeutsche — in Yugoslavia may be regarded as a classic case of “ethnic cleansing” on a grand scale. [2]  A close look at these mass killings presents a myriad of historical and legal problems, especially when considering modern international law, including the Hague War Crimes Tribunal that has been dealing with war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Balkan wars of 1991-1995.

Yet the plight of Yugoslavia’s ethnic Germans during and after World War II should be of no lesser concern to historians, not least because an under­standing of this chapter of history throws a significant light on the violent breakup of Communist Yugoslavia 45 years later.

At the outbreak of World War II in 1939, more than [1,500,000] ethnic Germans were living in southeastern Europe, that is, in Yugoslavia, Hungary, and Romania. Because they lived mostly near and along the Danube river, these people were popularly known “Danube Swabians” or Donauschwaben. Most were descendants of settlers who came to this fertile region in the 17th and 18th centuries following the liberation of Hungary from Turkish rule.

The plight of the ethnic Germans became dire during the final months of World War II, and especially after the founding of the second Yugoslavia, a multi-ethnic Communist state headed by Marshal Josip Broz Tito. In late October 1944, Tito’s guerilla forces, aided by the advancing Soviets and lavishly assisted by Western air supplies, took control of Belgrade, the Serb capital that also served as the capital of Yugoslavia.

One of the first legal acts of the new regime was the decree of November 21, 1944, on “The decision regarding the transfer of the enemy’s property into the property of the state.” It declared citizens of German origin as “enemies of the people,” and stripped them of civic rights. The decree also ordered the government confiscation of all property, without compensation, of Yugoslavia’s ethnic Germans. [4] An additional law, promulgated in Belgrade on February 6, 1945, canceled the Yugoslav citizenship of the country’s ethnic Germans. [5]

After the end of fighting in Europe on May 8, 1945, more than 200,000 ethnic Germans who had remained behind in Yugoslavia effectively became captives of the new Communist regime. Some 63,635 Yugoslav ethnic German civilians (women, men and children) perished under Communist rule between 1945 and 1950 — that is, some 18 percent of the ethnic German civilian population still remaining in the new Yugoslavia. Most died as a result of exhaustion as slave laborers, in “ethnic cleansing,” or from disease and malnutrition. [6]

Property of ethnic Germans in Yugoslavia confiscated in the aftermath of World War II amounted to 97,490 small businesses, factories, shops, farms and diverse trades. The confiscated real estate and farmland of Yugoslavia’s ethnic Germans came to 637,939 hectares (or about one million acres), and became state-owned property. According to a 1982 calculation, the value of the property confiscated from ethnic Germans in Yugoslavia amounted to 15 billion German marks, or about seven billion US dollars. Taking inflation into account, this would today correspond to twelve billion US dollars. From 1948 to 1985, more than 87,000 ethnic Germans who were still residing in Yugoslavia moved to Germany and automatically became German citizens. [7]

All this constitutes a “final solution of the German question” in Yugoslavia.

In the months before and after the end of World War II, ethnic Germans were killed, tortured and dispossessed throughout eastern and central Europe, notably in Silesia, East Prussia, Pomerania, the Sudetenland, and the “Wartheland” region. Altogether 12-15 million Germans fled or were driven from their homes in what is perhaps the greatest “ethnic cleansing” in history. Of this number, more than two million were killed or otherwise lost their lives. [14]

The grim events in postwar Yugoslavia are rarely dealt with in the media of the countries that emerged on the ruins of communist Yugoslavia, even though, remarkably, there is today greater freedom of expression and historical research there than in such western European countries as Germany and France. The elites of Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia, largely made up of former Communists, seem to share a common interest in repressing their sometimes murky and criminal past with regard to the postwar treatment of German civilians.

The wartime and postwar plight of Germans in the Balkans also provides lessons about the fate of multi-ethnic and multicultural states. [...] One can argue, therefore, that it is better for diverse nations and cultures, let alone different races, to live apart, separated by walls, than to pretend to live in a feigned unity that hides animosities waiting to explode, and leaving behind lasting resentments.

One can only speculate with foreboding about the future of the United States and western Europe, where growing interracial tensions between the native populations and masses of Third World immigrants portend disaster with far bloodier consequences.

Although the deaths, suffering and dispossession of the ethnic Germans of the Balkans during and after World War II are well documented by both German authorities and independent scholars, they continue to be largely ignored in the major media of the United States and Europe. In higher education, affirmative action has led to the hiring of incompetent, often openly racist black and Hispanic professors. It has further led to the creation of multiculturalism, in which entire disciplines—black, women’s, Hispanic and gay studies—exist in order to generate propaganda rationalizing affirmative action, and for the sake of hiring incompetent hate mongers.

Whereas academia had not previously been heavily bureaucratized, affirmative action has created patronage mills of highly-paid black and Hispanic administrators and staffers, whose job is to terrorize whites and to protect incompetent and/or vicious minority students and employees. Historian Alan Kors and attorney Harvey Silverglate have named this bureaucratic subculture, “the shadow university,” in their book of the same name.

Perhaps the least publicized aspect of academic affirmative action, is the maintaining of remedial mills catering to “students” who increasingly function on an elementary school level.

When I taught at William Paterson College (WPC) during the early to mid-1990s, administrators decided to boost the school’s “retention” rate, i.e., to keep students on the tuition rolls, no matter how poor their performance.

Affirmative action’s supporters in academia have suppressed exposure of their abuses through political witch hunts, in which they have gotten faculty critics fired, stolen student newspapers which even mildly criticized affirmative action, and shut down or denied standing to conservative student groups.

A more recent development has been the rise in campus race hoaxes. Since affirmative action relies on a fantastic ideology claiming that all blacks suffer under white racism, the lack of factual support for the ideology requires the constant fabrication of “evidence.”

And so, melodramatic race hoaxes, in which black students—and now, even black professors—invent non-existent white-on-black racial attacks and harassment, have become part of the academic landscape.

But affirmative action’s pernicious effects go well beyond the university. It has resulted in hundreds of thousands of semi-literate, racist, and sometimes criminal blacks and Hispanics being hired as educators, police officers, and physicians, the handcuffing of police officers in dealing with violent minority criminals, and the deterioration of news coverage of urban and ethnic issues.

With the advent of affirmative action, activists demanded that largely unqualified black and Hispanic teachers, administrators, and staffers be given control over the education of black and Hispanic children. The result has been the destruction of millions of urban black and Hispanic children’s life chances.

In the criminal justice field, in order to increase black and Hispanic representation by any means necessary, police chiefs dropped criminal background checks of officer candidates in Washington, D.C. and Miami; chiefs in other cities have hired black and Hispanic candidates whom their own job screeners warned were a danger to society. The result has been police crime waves in Washington, D.C., Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia and New Orleans.

Black New Orleans police officer Antoinette Frank was hired in spite of failing the civil service psychiatric evaluation, and remained on the job, despite colleagues’ reports of her bizarre behavior. While on duty in 1995, Frank committed armed robbery and murdered three people, including an off-duty police officer. And Antoinette Frank is not unique. (See video below)

Urban police chiefs also increasingly give black and Hispanic criminals carte blanche to rob, pillage, and even murder. During February, 2001 Mardi Gras celebrations in Seattle, for example, Chief Gil Kerlikowske ordered officers to stand down in the face of a racist black mob that was pummeling and robbing lone whites, and instead arrest white men for the pettiest of offenses. When civilian Kristopher Kime went to the aid of a petite white woman who was being brutally assaulted by several black men, the men stomped him to death.

Affirmative action in medicine has also cost lives. Los Angeles-area Dr. Patrick Chavis was celebrated by the New York Times and Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Ma.) as an affirmative action poster boy. Chavis was an unqualified black applicant who was accepted by the University of California/Davis medical school, in the place of qualified white applicant, Allan Bakke.

The mainstream media (MSM) have largely refused to report on such corruption, because they are themselves in thrall to affirmative action. William McGowan’s book, Coloring the News: How Crusading for Diversity Has Corrupted American Journalism, chronicles how through affirmative action hiring, major newspapers and TV news organizations have installed cadres of black writers and editors who have taken over reporting on urban and racial issues, which they deliberately misreport, while intimidating and otherwise thwarting white reporters from doing honest reporting on such issues.

Thus, media watchers were not terribly surprised when in late April, the New York Times was rocked by one of the biggest scandals in the history of American journalism. Reporter Jayson Blair, a black affirmative action hire who had been at the newspaper for four years, and who had been held up by Executive Editor Howell Raines as a shining example of “diversity,” was discovered to have fabricated and/or plagiarized dozens, and possibly hundreds of stories.

Although Blair had earlier been caught repeatedly engaging in journalistic misconduct that would have cost a white male reporter his job, instead of being fired, he was promoted. -Source

Mr and Mrs Dreyers have just returned from the funeral of Eugene Terreblanche and are filled with quiet anger over the loss of “Oom Gene” (Uncle Gene), under whose command of the AWB they had served for almost three decades. Looking through their “reminders of the golden years for the Afrikaners” offers them some comfort.

“These treasures remind me why Afrikaners belong here, why we could never leave, and why we and South Africa are one and the same,” Mrs Dreyers, a 64-year-old grandmother of five, explains quietly.

Her husband adds: “We fight to keep our land because our people suffered so greatly to win it. We fought wars and lost fine men for it, we worked this soil until our hands bled. We made this country what it is. Nothing bad can be done to us that does not serve to make us stronger.”

Like an increasing number of Afrikaans-speaking white South Africans, Mrs and Mrs Dreyers believe the lawlessness in rural areas, which claims the lives (MURDERED!!) of two or three White farmers or family members EVERY WEEK, can only end with another separation of whites and blacks. “A homeland for Afrikaners is what we want, and it is what God wants for us,” Mr Dreyers, 70, says, before expanding into the sort of rhetoric that made his leader reviled by both the black population and liberal whites.

“We have learned our lesson: Black people cannot run a country. They inherited a priceless jewel and made it worthless. They have not got the wisdom – they will never have the wisdom – to run a country. We have tried to teach them, but they have not learned and they are not grateful for what we gave them. They wanted the whole cake, and now there are only crumbs left.”

Struggling to name a black person he did have any fondness for, Mr Dreyers, a retired tanner, can only offer: “I would have been happy to walk alongside Nelson Mandela, once he was freed from jail. But they must have had a good reason to lock him up in the first place.”

“All these attacks against white farmers and elderly Afrikaners are more than just about crime,” says 24-year-old Kobus de Lange, “otherwise why would they be so vicious? Is it necessary to pour boiling water into the ear of a defenceless old woman who can’t put up a fight? That is what happened to a lady who lives near me. What threat is she to a bunch of young black robbers?”

The KK, too, believe a volkstaat [homeland] for the Afrikaners is the only way to prevent the country’s most serious race crisis since the end of apartheid from spilling over into civil war.

Abraham de Wet, a recent recruit to the Korps, acknowledges that the ANC government would never agree to such a solution. “The last thing the blacks want is to be separated from the whites. They cannot exist without us [Whites] being there to feed them and to employ them. Look at what has happened in Zimbabwe – the white farmers produced enough food to feed not only the country’s entire population, but people in other black countries, too. HÉROUXVILLE — He’s ba-a-a-ck.

André Drouin‘s lips curl up in a mischievous grin as he recalls the insults hurled at him at the height of the Hérouxville affair in 2007.

“Twit, moron, xenophobe, racist, stupid – all of it,” says the retired engineer who penned the infamous municipal charter barring the stoning, burning and genital mutilation of women in this hamlet north of Trois Rivières (Quebec).

Not that such atrocities had the remotest chance of being committed in this sleepy dairy-farming crossroads of 1,200 people, then, now or ever.

But that didn’t stop the charter from bringing down an international media frenzy on Hérouxville and igniting a province-wide debate on how far Quebec should go to accommodate minorities.

In response, the government set up the Bouchard-Taylor Commission, which urged Quebecers to show openness toward minorities. Drouin’s wincingly politically incorrect pronouncements came to symbolize rural Quebec’s intolerance.

But the recent storm over the niqab suggests l’affaire Hérouxville was no anomaly. Drouin is now lending his support to a nascent coalition that aims to drum up opposition to immigration and multiculturalism in English Canada.

“Three years ago, they thought I was a mad person, but right now I don’t think they think the same thing,” Drouin said.

“All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.” Arthur Schopenhauer German philosopher (1788 -1860)

A recent Angus Reid poll showed 95% of Quebecers – and 80% of all Canadians – support a provincial bill barring the tiny minority of Muslim women who wear a face veil from giving or receiving government services, including education and health care.

Emboldened by the niqab kerfuffle, the opposition Parti Québécois has hounded the government to adopt a secularism charter that would bar all religious symbols, including the hijab, kippa (Jewish skullcap) and crosses from government offices, schools and social services.

In an interview in the cozy waterfront cottage he shares with his wife, Luce Rivard, Drouin emerges as a more complex character than the country bumpkin depicted in reports on the Hérouxville affair.

Born in nearby Grand Mère, Drouin, 62, speaks fluent English learned during a military career that included a stint in Britain’s Royal Navy. He said he left the armed forces to study engineering at École Polytechnique and worked in the oil and gas industry, where his job acquainted him with the Middle East.

“In the province of Quebec, between 80 and 85 per cent of the people don’t want these kinds of accommodations and it’s not because they are racist or because they are xenophobes or because they are twits,” said Drouin, who did not run for re-election when his term as town councillor expired in November.

“It’s because they want to make sure that in the long term and the middle term social peace will stay with us.”

In recent months, Drouin has spoken to small groups in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver, where his tough talk on minorities strikes a chord with long-time critics of Canada’s immigration policy like Martin Collacott, a senior fellow at the conservative Fraser Institute.

Collacott and James Bissett, both retired diplomats who frequently write on immigration issues, and Drouin are among the founders of a new group that will push for a radical reduction in immigration and a tougher stand on minority accommodation.

Collacott said organizers are putting the finishing touches to a website and will launch the group, tentatively called the Centre for Immigration Policy Reform, in June.

Media coverage of the recent niqab controversy showed the fault lines between English Canada and Quebec, where many in the media have called for stricter curbs on the rights of religious minorities. But Collacott suggested many in English Canada share Quebecers’ concerns over the integration of newcomers.

“If you look at actual surveys, English-speaking Canada is not that different from Quebec,” he said.

“What the Bouchard-Taylor Commission tried to do was paper over the whole thing, but they didn’t really deal with the issues and so it’s re-emerged in the niqab form. Now both the PQ and the Liberal Party are buying into a modified form of what André Drouin had been calling for,” Collacott said.

He charged that English-Canadian editorialists who criticized Quebec’s tough stand on the niqab “were in a multicultural fog.” Such columnists as Margaret Wente of the Globe and Mail (Newspaper) and Mark Steyne of Macleans (Magazine) also have accused other members of the English-speaking media of being out of touch with Canadians’ views on multiculturalism. “On this one, I’m with the ‘intolerant’ Quebecers,” Steyne wrote.

Drouin denied his views are racist. “On the contrary, I like people – all brands, all religions.” But he predicted mixing different cultures will lead to social strife as it has in European countries like the Netherlands and France.

In the Resto Gare, a small café on Hérouxville’s main street, owner Linda Bédard worried out loud about immigration.

“We’re getting pushed aside,” said Bédard, who lived in Laval (Quebec) for 11 years, where the presence of different cultures made her feel as if she were in a foreign land.

“We’re strangers in our own country,” Bédard said. “In 20 or 25 years, we won’t exist anymore as a people.” -Source

“These negative labels are intended to pre-empt argument, to throw one’s antagonist onto the defensive so that he wastes time defending himself against this label, rather than discussing the subject at hand. And there is good reason why Sullivan supposes conservatives to be cowards in this regard: Because many conservatives are (cowards).

One consequence of multiculturalism is that the white (British) population, the people who can rightly claim this land as theirs, are now expected to act and to speak in ways that demonstrate their support and commitment to multiculturalism.

In other words, whites, as victims of these ugly policies, policies espoused by Labour and which will be continued if the Conservative Party wins the general election, must show support for something which actively encourages their racial and cultural dispossession. If they cannot bring themselves to state the vile lie – “diversity is our strength” – they must at the very least eschew any public criticism of the ethnic cleansing of whites, especially if they work in the Macphersonised public sector.

Since 1997 the changes affecting Britain as a direct consequence of the imposition of the doctrine of multiculturalism have been deep and far-reaching. They have changed this country overwhelmingly for the worse. The Conservative Party has done nothing to stop this Soviet-style agenda from being imposed.

Multiculturalism has not led to the creation of some rainbow-coloured utopia in Britain. On the contrary, it has inflicted enormous damage: alienation, hypocrisy and isolation; bureaucratic and legislative creep; crime; diversity-damage; overpopulation and overcrowding; and the persecution of dissenters in ways that are all too redolent of the former Soviet Union and East Germany.

Alienation, hypocrisy and isolation arise from the fear of saying what you think. A country in which you feel unable to say what you really think because you are too frightened or where you are not sure whether your interlocutor can be trusted is well on the way to losing its freedom. When people no longer trust one another the ties of genuine community, as opposed to the unctuous, ingratiating version peddled by the BBC, Hollywood and diversophiles, are dissolved, and with them… society.

I note for example that many of the people who tell me that “diversity” is a good thing avoid this same “diversity” at every opportunity. They flee the inner city to lily-white neighbourhoods or the shires, they marry whites and they socialise with whites. And outside of work they avoid non-whites at all costs. All very sensible, yet very few will openly admit that they do not want to live among blacks and other non-whites. This is one reason why all government attempts to promote racial mixing in housing – and if any government thought it could get away with it to compel the same – are doomed to failure.

Multiculturalism has resulted in a huge increase of violent crime, much of it on a scale quite unknown in this country prior to the advent of mass immigration, especially non-white immigration. Gun and knife crime in our big cities is largely, but not exclusively, a black problem. Wherever there are large concentrations of blacks, there is more crime, of all kinds, but especially violent crimes. This pattern can be observed worldwide. The less intelligent who find it almost impossible to hold down a regular job – and for whom in any case there may be no jobs – seek status and rewards through crime and rapine. The glorification of gun crime, drugs and casual savagery exert an especially toxic effect on the low IQ black teenager who lacks the intellectual resources and self-restraint to resist the blandishments of rap and hip hop.

SWEDEN has had this year’s first national trauma. On 31 March an elderly couple were going to park their car outside a supermarket in Landskrona, a town in the south-west of Sweden. They found a parking lot for disabled persons, but it was occupied by a young man in his twenties. The old man honked in order to make the young man move.

The young man, later found to be Ahmad Akileh, born 1986 in Lebanon, was offended and a quarrel began.

Akileh threw the old [Swedish] man, 72 years old, onto the hood of his car and punched brutally. His [Swedish] wife, 78 years old, saw the abuse and went up to help her husband. She was also assaulted and got punched so hard that she fell to the ground and hit her head seriously. The young man fled.

The following day the old woman died from her injuries. The national trauma was a fact. How could a young man do such a horrible thing to an elderly couple?

After some days Akileh was found. His mother said directly that it wasn’t his intention to kill the woman. It appeared that his wife, his new-born daughter and a brother also had been in the car at the scene of the crime. Apparently, they had done nothing to help the old couple, for example helping them or calling the police.

The leaders of four local Muslim associations held a press conference to deplore the “accident” and warn that it could “cause xenophobia”.

Indeed. That’s the real news angle here.

That’s the ticket: A purely hypothetical outbreak of violent attacks on Muslims always trumps actual violent attacks on non-Muslims. And the Swedish press suddenly forgot about the victim and started writing sob stories about the perpetrator. “Now he cannot hold his little baby any longer” and such like articles were to be found, and one in the tabloid the Expressen.

It is as usual, utterly important for the press to emphasize that this was a crime perpetrated by an individual and that is very uncommon and will probably never happen again. It could have been anyone, they state repeatedly. This way of trying to smooth things over when the setting involves immigration cannot be seen in other matters. It is not the case when it comes to a crime of violence towards a woman. Then it is always a symptom of the patriarchal society that all men participate to build and uphold. So all men are on principle guilty when one woman is abused. Different reasoning apparently applies for different topics.

An “ordinary” conclusion in the politically correct media is that the blame almost must be put on the political party the Sweden Democrats. This has become a common dodge for the media in order to have a scapegoat when immigrants are involved in something negative. This accusation was especially suitable, since the Sweden Democrats had got more than 20 per cent of the votes in the recent election in Landskrona. So it simply must be their fault, something that was stated in the subsequent debate! Full Article….
