Mainstream Media Is Race Shy
[...]
The CofCC here notes that the Washington Post admits to avoiding racial facts in crime stories. The WaPo rationalizes that the media must be “sensitive and not overplay stories” where protected minorities are the principals.
Might this be the REAL reason? (ELN Editor)

[BLACKS represent only 12.5% of the U.S. and
Hispanics are included in the “White” Category]
This, of course, is not exactly news; other newspapers and outlets have admitted, somewhat defensively, that they avoid any mention of race in crime reports, presumably so that they don’t encourage any ‘racist‘ profiling or stereotyping. But isn’t this tantamount to concealing pertinent facts? When suspects are arrested, it’s pretty hard to conceal the race of the perpetrators. It all has to come out sometime. But in the meantime, while suspects are running loose in society, isn’t it immoral and unethical to conceal from the public the race of a suspect?
Let’s face it: race is one of the first things we notice about people, perhaps along with sex. When the worthless mainstream media (MSM) report that an attempted child abductor or murderer is at large, yet they refuse to tell us anything about him other than that he is wearing ‘dark clothing‘ or a ‘baseball cap‘, they are impeding law enforcement from speedily catching the suspect. They are preventing citizens from doing their part in helping to identify suspects, and to protect themselves or their loved ones avoid potential suspects.
But as with everything, political correctness, or ”racial sensitivity” as the WaPo would probably have it, trumps all. It trumps public safety, it trumps the protection of life and property, it slows down law enforcement. At worst it may cost lives.
The media are actively concealing the race of suspects in the name of being ‘sensitive’. In that way they are failing in their function to keep the public informed and thus to help us protect ourselves, and to aid in the apprehension of suspects.
Another manifestation of our racial confusion and obfuscation is the silly hair-splitting which goes on in racial categorizing. Not only do we have to contend with the ”race is a social construct” foolishness, but we have the ever-present people, sometimes on the ‘right’, who like to play games like asking ”well, what is White, anyway?” Occasionally someone like this will resurrect that canard about how ”at one time in this country, people thought the Irish weren’t White, and the Italians were considered non-White”, etc. Then we have the people who seem to pop up in blog comments saying ”but there are White Hispanics; Hispanic is not a race” and ”Iranians and people from India are Caucasian, and Caucasian is White, so they are White.” On and on it goes.
I think we do need to be more clear about what we mean. To me, White is synonymous with European descent, plain and simple. I would not classify Middle Easterners or people from India in the same category as European-descended people, no matter that some have lighter skin. Race is not ”just about skin color”; it encompasses more than skin pigmentation or the relative lack of it.
The term ‘Aryan’ is one that lends itself to further ambiguity, as people claim North Indians and Iranians are Aryan. That’s as may be; all I know is that they are not the same people as Europeans. ‘Caucasian’ is another confusing word as it can also be used to encompass people from the near East.
The last two terms tend to get the multiculturalists worked up into a lather, because they are often associated with extremists. Of course, let’s be honest: anybody who notices race is considered an ‘extremist’ by the ‘colorblind’ multicultists. You can run but you can’t hide from their ubiquitous brand of extremism, so it’s little use to try to assure them of your lack of ‘extremism.’

Race is not everything, but neither is it nothing; it is not a social construct, nor is it a matter of interpretation or semantics. It is simply a reality that must be dealt with; we can pretend it is plastic and changeable, a matter of choice or whim, or we can try to pretend it doesn’t exist. But that way lies madness, as we are beginning to see now. -Read FULL article HERE-
