Immigrants – Zero Affect on Economy

Not a viable solution!

This paper reviews some of the key facts about productivity. And it notes that immigration is never mentioned as a factor tending to depress productivity. It then goes on to apply the methodology of growth accounting to calculate an estimate of the impact of recent immigration on productivity. This in turn calls into question the wisdom of the Government’s immigration policies as part of any evidenced-based strategy to improve the living standards of Canadians.

Productivity growth in Canada has increasingly been falling behind that in the United States. While GDP per worker in current US dollars is not the best measure of productivity as it incorporates inflation as well as real increase in output, it is often used for purposes of comparison. By this measure, the productivity gap between Canada and the United States, after remaining relatively stable for decades up to 1983, began to rise significantly thereafter with the increase accelerating after 2000.

In spite of all the recent attention on Canada’s relatively slow productivity growth, the important issue of the implications of the poor labour market performance of recent cohorts of immigrants for productivity growth has yet to be analyzed and quantified as a possible factor.

The 2006 census data revealing the poor labour market performance of recent cohorts of immigrants are cause for concern, especially when combined with the continued high level of immigration after 2005, which is planned to persist indefinitely in the future. Growth accounting suggests that immigration will continue to have a large and growing negative impact on labour productivity, which will only cease when the immigrants that are selected and admitted are able to earn at least as much as non-immigrants.

Given that the largest proportion of immigrants are NOT selected based on their skills, but rather are dependents of economic class immigrants, family class immigrants or refugees, it doesn’t appear likely that new immigrants will earn as much on average as non-immigrants in the foreseeable future. Thus immigration can be expected to exert a continued depressing effect on productivity.

As an aside, it will unfortunately no longer be possible to monitor the impact of immigration on productivity using the census as the data on the earnings of immigrants utilized in this paper comes from the census long form which is being eliminated in the 2011 census.

But, at least for the present, the data from the 2006 census provides a clear indication that from an economic point of view Canada’s immigration program has lowered productivity growth and has contributed significantly to the growing productivity gap with the United States.

The fly in the ointment is that only 17% of immigrants are actually selected under the skilled worker program, and that they bring with them or sponsor family members who do not have the same level of skills, and who usually perform worse in the labour market.

To actually increase productivity, immigrants have to be more productive than existing workers in Canada, which, given that earnings reflect productivity, means that they must earn more than existing workers. If the Government were to only admit such immigrants, it could justifiably claim that immigration policy was productivity enhancing.

However, since there is no indication that the Government only intends to admit immigrants likely to achieve a higher than average level of earnings, there is no way that the government’s proposed immigration policy can conceivably be portrayed as helping to lower the Canada-U.S. labour productivity gap.

A Final Word

Don’t believe anyone when they tell you that immigration is raising productivity, or that it is likely to reduce the Canada-U.S. productivity gap. A careful analysis of the data using the standard analytical tool of growth accounting in the most simple and straightforward way possible, shows that this just isn’t true. WHITES in America will be outnumbered by 2050 by rising numbers of ethnic minorities, according to official figures.

Hispanic, black and Asian people accounted for 90% of all births in the U.S. between 2000 and 2010. [Some parts of Britain, too!]

In 40 years’ time they will make up more than half the population due to their higher birth rates and immigration.

In ten states – Mississippi, Georgia, Maryland, Florida, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, California, New Mexico and Hawaii – more than one-half of children are ALREADY non-white.

The figures come from the U.S. Census Bureau, which last year carried out its first survey of America in a decade.

It found that in 2010, whites were still the nation’s largest group, comprising 64% of the population…. reduced from 69 per cent in 2000.

Hispanics grew from 13% to 16% of the U.S. population, and were the second largest group…. whilst blacks remained stable at around 12%.

The Hispanic population surpassed the 50 million mark after adding 15 million to their numbers.

‘This is a group that’s young, whose growth is driven increasingly by births and not immigration,’ said D’Vera Cohn, of the Pew Research Center, which has analysed data from the census. -Source

This has been encouraged and facilitated by Western elites who have laws with severe penalties throughout Europe to persecute dissidents and allow Muslims to take European territory and change the culture to suit them.

Don’t forget the elites brought this about by deceit, and we did not realise what was happening until very late, but there is a resistance building in Europe as a whole, and England in particular. The Muslims know the governments and police are on their side: “You are a White man you can’t do nothing” (1)

Evil elites cover up heinous murders of innocent people, like that of Charlene Downes, if the perpetrators belong to the new-privileged groups. There is a noble and honourable demonstration in Blackpool on March 26th (2011) for justice for this abused young girl, whose case was sabotaged by the police. This is part of a new era of nobility and heroism. It is an honourable demo for posthumous justice for this young White girl who was used for sex, then allegedly chopped up, and sold in kebab meat.

Homer expressed nobility in this aphorism: “I too shall lie in the dust when I am dead, but now let me win noble renown.” The ancient Greeks placed great importance on personal honor. Man was nothing without honour. One type of Honour is won by a man’s prowess, the ability to fight and be victorious in battle. I suggest that fighting for justice for your people, and defending them from attack by rival communities, is very honourable and noble.

In the sixth book of the Aeneid, Oddysseus‘ father Anchises gives a roll call of heroes. It is their renown in battle that impresses him, and by setting examples — they inspire others.

Alan Clarke, the former Conservative Minister of State for Defence and famous diarist praised football fans who rose to the provocation by French gendarmes as “the British military spirit”. The Independent (newspaper) of 18 June 1998 reported: it was “a kind of compliment to the English martial spirit” the way other groups of supporters sought them out. (1)

To the traditional aristocratic ruling class, the EDL (English Defense League) would have been possessed of noble virtues which are now criminalized by the new elites. The great manly values like bravery, heroism, honour and glory have been downgraded to prepare us for the “lovely” new world they were building.

An intrepid crew infiltrated, and secretly filmed inside the Muslim area in Rochdale on the 5th of March. As usual, the (British) police took the side of Muslim extremists. In the video, the Muslims chant ”Allahu Akbar”, the chant used in Egypt as they burnt Christian churches. About 2 minutes in, you can hear territorial claims as Muslims chant ”English s*** off our streets”.

Note also how the police allow the Muslims to cover their faces, yet EDL supporters who wore anything over their faces had them ripped off by the police, and pushed down their tops.

The politicised police used batons and dogs on the EDL, but left the Muslims to do what they wanted. These (British) people were the backbone of our traditional military prowess, and should be honoured as heroes ready to defend our country, and control our borders to repel the current invasion, not assaulted by the police and belittled in the media. Our wounded troops are insulted in Selly Oak hospital, as well as on the streets of Wootton Bassett and Luton by a rival community, while the rulers invade their countries while not even providing the troops with adequate equipment to fight in. The elites are so evil they invade sovereign nation states belonging to Muslims, when it is none of their business, and import millions of Muslims with grudges into Europe to destroy our communities and countries. >to Full Article

White Students Learn To “White Flight”

WHITE (Australian) students are fleeing public schools, leaving behind those of Aboriginal and Middle Eastern origin, a secret report by high school principals reveals.

The NSW (New South Wales) Secondary Principals Council conducted a confidential survey which raises serious concerns about “white flight” undermining the public education system and threatening social cohesion. Some teachers and principals have described it as “de facto apartheid”.

The findings are backed by research from the University of Western Sydney, which has identified evidence of racial conflict in schools in the wake of the Cronulla riots. It also suggests students of Anglo-European descent are avoiding some schools with students of mainly Asian background.

Not only have some public schools lost enrolment; they have become racially segregated. In pockets of rural and remote NSW, Aboriginal students fill public schools and white students attend Catholic and other private schools in the same town.

Around Sydney, the parents of some Anglo-European students are avoiding what they perceive as predominantly Lebanese, Muslim and Asian schools.

In New England, in towns such as Armidale, white middle-class students are flocking to Catholic and independent schools.

In their report, principals say this is so the students can “get away from their local school”.

“This is almost certainly white flight from towns in which the public school’s enrolment consists increasingly of indigenous students,” the report says. “The pattern is repeated in the Sydney region. Based on comments from principals, this most likely consists of flight to avoid Islamic students and communities.” >to Full Article

As Japan’s agony grinds on, more and more foreign observers are marveling at the disciplined, orderly behavior of the victims of one of the greatest natural disasters of our time.

Homeless Japanese patiently stand in line for food and water. They huddle uncomplainingly in cramped shelters. They do not loot. Why is the aftermath of catastrophe in Japan so unlike that in Haiti or Chile or New Orleans?

Japan expert after Japan expert has been rolled out to give the obligatory one-word answer—culture. But that’s not an explanation. All these “experts” do, is to describe the Japanese: they are community-minded, polite, honest, stoical, they care about “face”, etc. We knew that already. Tell us why they are that way.

The implication of this mantra-like repetition of the word “culture” implies that cultures drop out of the sky, that the lucky Japanese got a good one and the Haitians got a bad one. This implies that patterns of behavior are essentially arbitrary and any group can acquire them. If Haitians could live in Japan for a few generations they would behave just like Japanese.

Ordinary people know better than the experts. When Ed West in the London Daily Telegraph wrote a brief article asking why the Japanese weren’t rioting, he got nearly 4,000 comments in three days—and not very many were about culture. [Why is there no looting in Japan? – Telegraph Blogs] (The number of comments has begun to shrink as the Daily Telegraph deletes the ones it doesn’t like.)

Commentators generally had two explanations: (1) There must be something about the genetics of the Japanese, and (2) they benefit from homogeneity.

A few days ago, I wrote on my website American Renaissance that the main thing that keeps the Japanese from looting, is the fact that they are not black, but that was flip. The question deserves a longer answer.

mince his words in the above video.

I am certainly as willing, as Daily Telegraph readers, to credit genes and homogeneity for all manner of good things, but the experts may not be completely wrong about “culture”, either. It is conceivable that others could acquire some of the traits that help the Japanese deal with a crisis. Let us consider genes, homogeneity, and culture, each in turn.

The crucial genetic contribution to the exemplary behavior of the Japanese is intelligence. Liberals like to pretend that, even if there really is such a thing as intelligence, it has no moral value, and people of low intelligence can be just as “good” as smart people. But, as Michael Levin (Why Race Matters, New Century Books, 2005) and others, have pointed out, this is not true. High intelligence is invariably associated with greater law-abiding-ness. >to Full Article.

Has DENMARK Learned A Lesson?

In 1978-79, I was living and studying in Denmark.

But in 1978 – even in Copenhagen, one never saw any Muslim immigrants.

The Danish population embraced visitors, celebrated the exotic, went out of its way to protect each of its citizens. It was proud of its new brand of socialist liberalism, one in development, since the conservatives had lost power in 1929 – a system where no worker had to struggle to survive, where one ultimately could count upon the state as in, perhaps, no other western nation, at the time.

The rest of Europe saw the Scandinavians as free-thinking, progressive and infinitely generous in their welfare policies. Denmark boasted low crime rates, devotion to the environment, a superior educational system and a history of humanitarianism.

Denmark was also the most generous in its immigration policies – it offered the best welcome in Europe to the new immigrant - generous welfare payments from first arrival, plus additional perks in transportation, housing and education. It was determined to set a world example for inclusiveness and multiculturalism.

By the 1990′s the growing urban Muslim population was obvious – as was its unwillingness to integrate into Danish society.Years of immigrants had settled into Muslim-exclusive enclaves. As the Muslim leadership became more vocal about what they considered the decadence of Denmark ‘s liberal way of life, the Danes – once so welcoming – began to feel slighted.

How could it have predicted that one day in 2005, a series of political cartoons in a newspaper would spark violence that would leave dozens dead in their streets – all because its commitment to multiculturalism would come back to bite them?

Many Danes had begun to see Islam as incompatible with their long-standing values: belief in personal liberty and free speech, in equality for women, in tolerance for other ethnic groups, and a deep pride in Danish heritage and history.

An article by Daniel Pipes and Lars Hedegaard, in which they accurately forecast, that the growing immigrant problem in Denmark would explode.

They reported:

“Muslim immigrants constitute 5 percent of the population, but consume upwards of 40 percent of the welfare spending.’ ‘Muslims are only 5 percent of Denmark’s 5.4 million people, but make up a majority of the country’s convicted rapists — an especially combustible issue given that practically all the female victims are non-Muslim. Similar, if lesser disproportions are found in other crimes.”

“Over time, as Muslim immigrants increase in numbers, they wished less to mix with the indigenous population. A recent survey found that only 5 percent of young Muslim immigrants would readily marry a Dane.”

“Forced marriages – promising a newborn daughter in Denmark to a male cousin in the home country, then compelling her to marry him, sometimes on pain of death – are one problem.”

“Muslim leaders openly declare their goal of introducing Islamic law once Denmark’s Muslim population grows large enough – a not-that-remote prospect. If present trends persist, one sociologist estimates, every third inhabitant of Denmark in 40 years will be Muslim.”

It is easy to understand why a growing number of Danes would feel that Muslim immigrants show little respect for Danish values and laws.

An example, is the phenomenon common to other European countries and Canada. Some Muslims in Denmark who opted to leave the Muslim faith have been murdered in the name of Islam, while others hide in fear for their lives. Jews are also threatened and harassed openly by Muslim leaders in Denmark, a country where once Christian citizens worked to smuggle out nearly all of their 7,000 Jews by night to Sweden – before the Nazis could invade.

I think of my Danish friend, Elsa – who, as a teenager, had dreaded crossing the street to the bakery every morning under the eyes of occupying Nazi soldiers – and, I wonder what she would say today.

In 2001, Denmark elected the most conservative government in some 70 years – one that had some decidedly, non-generous ideas about liberal, unfettered immigration. Today, Denmark has the strictest immigration policies in Europe. (Its effort to protect itself has been met with accusations of ‘racism’ by the liberal media across Europe – even as other governments struggle to right the social problems wrought by years of too-lax immigration.)

If you wish to become a Danish citizen now, you must attend three years of language classes.You must pass a test on Denmark’s history, culture, and a Danish language test .

You must live in Denmark for 7 years before applying for citizenship.

You must demonstrate an intent to work, and have a job waiting. If you wish to bring a spouse into Denmark, you must both be over 24 years of age, and you won’t find it so easy anymore to move your friends and family to Denmark with you.

You will not be allowed to build a mosque in Copenhagen. Although your children have a choice of some 30 Arabic culture and language schools in Denmark, they will be strongly encouraged to assimilate to Danish society in ways that previous immigrants were not.

In 2006, the Danish minister for employment, Claus Hjort Frederiksen, spoke publicly of the burden of Muslim immigrants on the Danish welfare system, and it was horrifying.

The government’s welfare committee had calculated that if immigration from Third-World countries were blocked, 75 percent of the cuts needed to sustain the huge welfare system in coming decades, would be unnecessary. In other words, the welfare system, as it existed, was being exploited by immigrants to the point of eventually bankrupting the government. “We are simply forced to adopt a new policy on immigration”.

“The calculations of the welfare committee are terrifying and show how unsuccessful the integration of immigrants has been up to now,” he said.

A large thorn in the side of Denmark’s imams, is the Minister of Immigration and Integration, Rikke Hvilshoj. She makes no bones about the new policy toward immigration, ‘The number of foreigners coming to the country makes a difference,’ Hvilshoj says, “There is an inverse correlation between how many come here and how well we can receive the foreigners that come”.

And on Muslim immigrants needing to demonstrate a willingness to blend in, “In my view, Denmark should be a country with room for different cultures and religions. Some values, however, are more important than others. We refuse to question democracy, equal rights, and freedom of speech.”

Hvilshoj has paid a price for her show of backbone.

Perhaps to test her resolve, the leading radical imam in Denmark, Ahmed Abdel Rahman Abu Laban, demanded that the government pay blood money to the family of a Muslim who was murdered in a suburb of Copenhagen, stating that the family’s thirst for revenge could be thwarted for money.

When Hvilshoj dismissed his demand, he argued that in Muslim culture the payment of retribution money was common, to which Hvilshoj replied that what is done in a Muslim country is not necessarily what is done in Denmark.

The Muslim reply came soon after:

Her house was torched while she, her husband and children slept. All managed to escape unharmed, but she and her family were moved to a secret location, and she and other ministers were assigned bodyguards for the first time – in a country where such murderous violence…. was once so scarce..

Her government has slid to the right, and her borders have tightened.

Many believe that what happens in the next decade will determine whether Denmark survives as a bastion of good living, humane thinking and social responsibility… or whether it becomes a nation at civil war with supporters of Sharia law.

And meanwhile, here in Canada, Canadians clamor for stricter immigration policies, and demand an end to state welfare programs that allow many immigrants to live on our public dole.

As we, Canadians, look at the enclaves of Muslims amongst us, and see those who enter our shores too easily — who dare live on our taxes — who refuse to embrace our culture — nor respect our traditions — nor participate in our legal system, or obey our laws — nor speak our language, or appreciate our history…. then we would do well to look to DENMARK, and say a prayer for her future…. and for our own.

DAYTON, Ohio

The Dayton Police Department is LOWERING its testing standards for (new) recruits.

It’s a move required by the U.S. Department of Justice after it says NOT enough African-Americans (Blacks) PASSED the exam.

Dayton is in desperate need of officers to replace dozens of retirees. The hiring process was postponed for months because the D.O.J. REJECTED the original scores provided by the Dayton Civil Service Board, which administers the test.

Under the previous requirements, candidates had to get a 66% on part one of the exam and a 72% on part two.

The D.O.J.’s newly approved scoring policy now only requires potential police officers to get a 58% and a 63%.

That’s the equivalent of an ‘F’ and a ‘D’ (on a score card).

Canadians Betrayed By Politicians

OTTAWA – “One-in-five people in Canada is foreign-born according to census numbers released Tuesday, an immigration surge unprecedented in a quarter-of-a-century and one that comes as the country grapples with acts of overt racism that fly in the face of Canada’s reputation for tolerance.”

The “overt racism” mentioned here — whatever is meant by that — is an over-statement. Canadians are continuously insulted with accusations of racism, no matter what we do.

But, any type of racism in Canada shouldn’t be surprising when our immigration policy is more akin to government complicity in the colonization of its own citizens by foreign nationals.

Denied any avenue of protest, then acts of “overt racism” should be expected as Canadian citizens take their anger and frustrations out on immigrants, when those most deserving of scorn, are the nation’s politicians, our “moral superiors” in the media and those in the immigration industry whose livelihood is dependent on the legal trafficking of people…. and the sale of Canadian citizenship at rock bottom prices.

The only available recourse to many Canadians in escaping the multicultural madness of Toronto… is to move away (white flight). That’s why many immigrants may get the cold shoulder treatment and the cut-eye, when outside of the Toronto area.

Canadians don’t have anything against the immigrant, but they have a problem with what that immigrant represents: neo-colonialism or reverse colonialism.

They don’t want their towns upturned and transposed like what has happened to Toronto. That’s why they left Toronto in the first place.

They want to live in Canada…not some “multicultural wonderland”, so they may try to make the immigrant feel unwelcome and out-of-place, and hopefully leave the area. eg. If Canadians had wanted to live in India…. they would have moved to Mumbai.

While “neo-racism” infects society through subtle and systemic practices, it has largely been the focus of anti-racism crusaders. Recent reports of assaults against Asian fisherman in Ontario and open anti-Muslim sentiment in Quebec have become the subject of public inquiries and commissions.

What the writer calls “neo-racism” is actually a backlash that immigration and multiculturalism fosters. And, the subtle racism that he talks about is quite prevalent in immigrant communities, expressly towards those of the host population and other immigrants, as well.

Canada garners kudos from around the world for laws promising equality for all, but experts say the true test of a tolerant nation is in day-to-day living.

The fact of what he wrote, exposes the bias of the writer and the kind of article you’re reading. Any article stating to the effect that “Canada is a model to the world; we set the standard by which others pass or fail, and all the eyes of the world are on us” …should be taken with a “grain of salt” and should be considered propaganda, and not news.

Canada garnering “kudos from around the world”, are statements often used by journalists, politicians and immigrant groups desiring to keep Canadian attitudes soft on the colonization of their country. There are no facts proving the statement “Canada garners kudos from around the world”.

To think that policy-makers and national populations the world over, think of Canada when discussing domestic policy… is narcissistic and self-congratulating. Canadians need to understand that…. NO ONE THINKS OF CANADA, AS MUCH AS WE ARE BRAINWASHED IN TELLING OURSELVES, THEY DO.

How often do you think of Chad, let alone, know where that country is? How about New Zealand or Chile? The truth of the matter is, we don’t think of those countries often, if at all. If you believe plane-loads of immigrants (5000 foreign arrivals EVERY week!) are choosing Canada as their newly adopted country is evidence that Canada is doing something right, then you should understand something (else):

It is one of the easiest to obtain in the industrialized world with some of the fewest strings attached, and it allows access to one of the most generous social programs in the world. Australia Meets With Black Crime

The brutal bashing of a young (White) man at Sunshine train station in Melbourne (Australia) highlighted the problems of crime associated with the immigration of large numbers of Black Africans into Australia. [1]

Professor Andrew Fraser warned us all in 2005 about these dangers, when he said:

“Experience, practically everywhere in the world, tells us that an expanding Black population is a sure-fire recipe for increases in crime, violence and a wide range of other social problems” [2].

Fraser was persecuted by the so-called “Human Rights” industry for telling the truth.

Whilst every society, ethnic group and race all have a percentage of people that commit violent crimes, research shows us that this percentage is significantly higher amongst Black African males; to be quite clear, this does not mean that all of them are violent criminals, but that – compared to the general population – a higher percentage of Black African males are more likely to commit crimes of violence. Newspaper reports in Australia have confirmed the higher crime rates of Black Africans. For instance, the Herald Sun revealed that whilst the general rate of alleged crimes was 1 in 85, the rate for SOMALIANS was 1 in 23.

Political multiculturalists may offer all sorts of excuses as to why the Black African crime rate is so much higher, blaming poverty, war trauma, etc., but the fact remains that their crime rate is indeed higher. [4]

This is not a matter of faceless “statistics”, but of real people suffering as victims of crime – it is about real people being hurt, disabled and killed. These higher crime “statistics” could mean your brother is bashed, your sister is raped, or your friend is murdered. Higher crime rates are about real people.

If we can choose between bringing in immigrants from a European people with a low crime rate, or from an African people with a high crime rate, who would choose the high crime option?

The fact is that political multi-culturalists are extremists. They would rather have thousands more Australians being bashed, raped or murdered, rather than admit their mistake, and halt the immigration of Black Africans.

Who is to blame? It is the politicians and multiculturalists who are the problem. It is high time that we dumped the extremist ideologies of political multiculturalism and political correctness. It’s time that we started to protect Australians – and protect our nation’s future. -Source

SWEDEN has undergone a dramatic change since the 1960s when actress Britt Ekland graced the silver screen as a beautiful, Swedish blond icon.

Like other European-based nations, a deliberate policy was set forth in motion – through mass-immigration – to disrupt the equilibrium of Sweden’s stable and homogeneous population.
