TV Host “Uncle Bobby” Dies

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) Robert Ash, the children’s TV show host known by generations of Canadian children as “Uncle Bobby”, has died, according to his former employer. Ash starred in “The Uncle Bobby Show,” which began its run on Toronto’s CFTO channel in the 1960’s. He suffered a heart attack on Sunday and died at 82 yrs. in Elliot Lake.

The British-born Ash began his career as a comedian and circus clown in the U.K. before immigrating to Canada.
