POLICE Departments must use RACE and sex preferences in hiring as a result of [U.S.] federal court consent decrees and political pressures. To meet these demands, many police departments have lowered, and in some cases eliminated established standards for personal character …and intellectual and physical capacity.
Amazingly, these people STILL keep their police jobs!
Jan Golab writes about this in “How Racial P.C. Corrupted the LAPD” in the May 2005 issue of The American Enterprise. While most of Mr. Golab’s article chronicles how Los Angeles damaged its police force in its quest for “DIVERSITY,” where it’s had to fire 100 police officers …identical damage has also occurred in other cities.
Washington, D.C., had to indict or fire 250 cops; New Orleans indicted more than 100 [officers]. In these cities, policemen have been charged with crimes ranging from murder and rape to robbing drug dealers and selling confiscated drugs.
Most policemen are honest, dedicated and hard-working people who put their lives on the line to protect us against criminals. A few, are no less than criminals themselves, Mr. Golab reports.
In 1997, L.A. policeman David Mack was arrested for the armed robbery of a Bank of America branch in which he heisted $772,000. In the late 1990s, as many as 25 L.A. policemen were believed to have direct gang ties. A significant number of L.A. policemen had off-duty jobs providing security for hoodlums in the rap music industry deeply involved in drugs and gang violence. At least one policeman was arrested as a guard at a cocaine house.

In the wake of L.A.’s Rampart Division scandal, where 30 officers were suspended or fired, former LAPD deputy chief Steve Downing said, “Rampart wasn’t about cops who became gangsters. It was about gangsters who became cops.” Downing adds that elected officials refuse to acknowledge the obvious: Institutionalized racial preferences “allowed persons of poor character to be hired.” >more>>

Are these disproportionate photo layouts in favor of visible-minorities, meant to dissuade qualified Canadian White males from applying for police jobs??

WHITE Canadians in proportional numbers … are still about 86% of Canada’s population…so that number should reflect the number of ALL police recruits…. including photo layouts!]
WHY are visible-minorities (primarily BLACKS) always over-represented in gov’t pamphlets, T.V. commercials and police recruitment photos?
For example, BLACKS are just TWO percent (2%) of Canada’s population, and one-half of those people are FOREIGN-born… and yet, they’re not only vastly over-represented…. but usually prominently placed in photos.

The Toronto Police recruitment photo was recently changed from having two Black Males front and centre + 2 other minorities, and a white woman with her face airbrushed out while standing at the end of the line (no white males)….to the NEW lead photo depicting a Black/Asian[?] woman just “randomly” chosen for her photo op in a country whose majority population is 86% White!

“Winning on race”?? What does that description mean … “winning” against White Canadians? Employment-equity has been the policy for about 25 years and the quality of police personnel has plummeted since then. When hiring 3rd world standards, you get 3rd world results … it’s as simple as that!

“As the National Post reported on June 27, 2005, the so-called shortfall of qualified applicants to the RCMP academy was due to its gender and racial hiring quotas that required Canadian WHITE males to score 20% higher than women…… and 33% HIGHER than visible minorities on aptitude tests!
Qualified White Canadian applicants, who are guilty of nothing — are those who are unfairly DENIED EQUAL opportunities to compete for scarce jobs in a tight labour market.

During the mid-1990’s, with unmet racial and female recruitment targets co-existing with a five year BACKLOG of White male applicants, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) had a quiet ‘no white males’ policy.” There’s no fairness in this regressive policy. [Instead, the RCMP were placing recruiting advertisements elsewhere, such as HERE]
[The following excerpts are taken directly from the Toronto Police Service website with critical comments highlighted in parentheses from the editor.]
“The recent surge in volume and response from interested International applicants considering employment with our Service has overwhelmed the Employment Unit. Unfortunately, much of this can be attributed to media misinformation and rumour.
The Toronto Police Service wants to clarify and ensure that an accurate assessment is stated with respect to our Constable Selection Procedure.
- We are not actively recruiting Internationally [“Not actively” but the door is ajar?]
- We have no International opportunities for lateral entry
- We can not influence Canadian Immigration procedure [Provincial Nominee Program?]
- We have no affiliation with any Immigration Consultant Organizations
The Toronto Police Service continually strives to ensure that it represents the richly diverse communities that it serves.
[CODE WORDS “richly diverse communities” meaning anybody, BUT…. White Canadians in Canada. And comments taken from HERE don’t exactly offer a ringing endorsement for the “quality of recruits” the TORONTO POLICE seem to be hiring.]
Organizational needs include, and are not limited to, racial minorities, females, Aboriginal people, language skills, residents of Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
[The conjunctive word “and” is inserted after “include”. Either this sentence is BAD grammar where “but” would be the right conjunctive between two contrastive sentences….or it was designed to confuse, without close scrutiny…that “racial minorities” from “Greater Toronto Area” etc. ARE limited to “organizational needs”.
Why does the TPS not consider qualified Canadians outside the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) as recruit applicants? Is that restrictive policy designed to boost the numbers of minorities at the expense of more qualified White Canadians from across OUR country?]
The majority of International interest has been from highly qualified, experienced and truly motivated Police Officers. The Toronto Police Service would be proud to work with these professionals but regrets, that at this time, the International interest has far surpassed current available employment opportunities.
[Barring immigration hurdles, you’d assume “highly qualified, experienced and truly motivated Police Officers” would be in high demand and merit first consideration.
Unfortunately, race-diversity policies supersedes anything related to experience and proven qualifications in today’s p.c. Toronto, thus lowering the overall standard of a once-proud police service.]
The Toronto Police Service continues to accept International applications and they will be processed under the same guidelines and standards as normal applications according to organizational needs.”
[Note that catch-all disclaimer again – according to “organizational needs” to match their RESTRICTIVE agenda.]
